"Building skills, confidence and self esteem"

Club professional Gareth Small and his team run Junior Golf coaching clinics 2 days a week.

Each clinic program runs for six weeks through each school term at a cost of just $75.00.  It covers all golf fundamentals including short game, putting and the dynamics of the golf swing generally.  Juniors therefore have a choice of coaching days, giving them options as to which day suits best.

Clinic details are as follows:

Schedule

Thursday afternoon from 4:00 – 5:00pm

Sunday mornings from 9:30 – 10:30am

Program Length

Six weeks per school term

Cost

$75 per six week program

In addition to the term clinics the Pro Shop also offers a 3 day holiday camp during school holidays.  The cost is $150 and includes lunch and all equipment.  Please phone the Pro Shop for further details and/or bookings on 07 3366 3438.

Ashgrove Golf Club presently has over 120 Junior Members out of a playing membership of around 700 members. The mean or average age of a golfing member at Ashgrove is 48+ with the greatest number of golfling members being in their 60’s, and this continues to increase. Consequently the Board views initiatives that promote and encourage Junior Golf as a significant priority.

With current community debate focusing on community crganisations providing healthy, productive, sociable and fun extracurricular activities for all children and teenagers irrespective of theirs or their families financial position, Ashgrove Golf Club is delighted to offer a comprehensive and affordable coaching environment.

To ensure the long-term viability of Ashgrove Golf Club and the game of golf, and to make a positive contribution to the future of children and teenagers in our community, the Board and management have decided to make Junior Membership a priority of the Club. This emphasis has begun with the introduction and ongoing development of the club's Junior Development Program.
