Last Sunday was the 2009 Riner Family Day where 90 players turned up for what has become one of the Premier events on the Ashgrove Golf Club calendar. Bill Riner, along with his sisters Mary & Helen, put on a fabulous array of prizes for the day. The major prize was a $250 putter and a minor prize of a $150 voucher to the Pro Shop. The Riner family also organised NTPs for both men & ladies on 5 of the Par 3s.

As part of the after game celebrations there was also a multitude of prizes for the card draw. If you stayed around after the game and were fortunate to have your card drawn out then there was a pick of all the wonderful prizes on offer. Everything from a bronzed photo frame to gloves and CDs was available for the lucky winners. Winners got to choose 3 items from the table. Bob Wilson also donated a bottle of scotch as a prize.

Everyone who attended had a great time. We all owe Bill, Helen & Mary a huge vote of thanks for organising the day. No doubt we are all eagerly awaiting the 2010 Riner Family Day.
